How we verify GTA 6 pins
Every pin on Wastedradar has a badge that tells you how sure we are about it.
Confirmed. Named and placed in Rockstar's official material (trailers, screenshots, official map), as catalogued by GTADB (CC BY 4.0) or verified by us directly. Confirmed pins are shown by default.
Reported. Press or community source not yet found in Rockstar's material. Reported pins are hidden by default: turn on "Show unverified" on the map to see them. The few we placed by hand have a second dashed ring.
A badge is raised by editorial review, never by a count of user confirmations.
Places without a position. A place can appear in Rockstar's material before we know where it is. Until we can place it, it is not a pin: it is listed
here.
What never goes in. Material from stolen builds or leaks: not as a pin, not as a name, not in our videos.
Corrections. If a pin turns out to be wrong, we correct it or take it down, and we say so here, with the source: see
Corrections.
Launch day. From November 19 we start checking pins against the game itself. A pin verified in-game gets a new badge.
